Urgo Medical’s UrgoStart is a wound dressing that combines technology lipido-colloid (TLC) and nano-oligo saccharide factor (NOSF) to promote wound healing.
The TLC-NOSF technology helps promote granulation of chronic wounds. The TLC forms a moist environment that promotes the healing process so that key cells in the repair process can begin healing. NOSF forms a gel that binds preferentially to damaged areas and limited the harmful action of Matrix Metalloprotienases, according to the company.
Australia-based Urgo Medical said UrgoStart is ideal for treating leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers and pressure ulcers.
